For a particular female, the BEST mate for her may not be a male that the breeder owns or has on the premises. Instead of asking the question, are both parents on the premises, ask: Why did you breed this particular female (bitch) to that particular male (dog)? What were you looking to add, improve or enhance for your particular line in this breeding?
